Does CapCut add a watermark? (2026)

Short answer: not on a normal export, even on the free plan. CapCut's own help center says the watermark usually comes from a default ending clip or a template element, not from the export itself. Delete that ending clip, check the template for logo layers, and you can export a clean video for free.

Where the CapCut watermark comes from

How to remove the CapCut watermark

On your phone (iPhone and Android)

  1. Open the project in the CapCut app.
  2. Scroll to the end of the timeline.
  3. Tap the CapCut ending clip and delete it.
  4. Check the timeline for any other logo layers.
  5. Tap Export.

On desktop

  1. Open the project in CapCut for desktop.
  2. Go to the last clip on the timeline.
  3. Select the outro or watermark clip and delete it.
  4. Check all tracks for hidden overlays, and replace template assets if needed.
  5. Export again.

On the web (CapCut Online)

  1. Open the project after applying the template.
  2. Go to the end of the timeline and delete the CapCut-branded ending clip.
  3. Check for extra overlay layers with logos.
  4. Preview, then export.

If a watermark still shows after you've removed every visible element, CapCut says to contact its support team.

Do you need CapCut Pro to remove it?

No. The removal steps above work on the free plan. CapCut Pro ($19.99/month or $179.99/year) adds 1,200 AI credits a month, 1 TB of cloud storage and premium templates. CapCut's help article doesn't say Pro is needed to remove the ending clip.
