Why am I not eligible for TikTok Creator Rewards?
Tools in this answer
Short answer: the follower and view numbers are only part of it. To join the TikTok Creator Rewards Program you need to be 18 or older, have 10,000 followers and 100,000 video views in the last 30 days, and have a personal account in good standing in a place where the program is available. A business account, the wrong region or a guideline problem can block you even if your numbers are fine.
After you join, a video earns only if it is at least 1 minute long and public. Under the EEA terms it also needs at least 1,000 qualified views.
TikTok Creator Rewards requirements
| Requirement | What TikTok says |
|---|---|
| Age | 18 or older (the US terms also say "or the age of majority in their place of residence") |
| Followers | At least 10,000. The US terms say "authentic followers" |
| Views | At least 100,000 video views in the last 30 days. The US terms say "authentic" |
| Account | A personal account in good standing |
| Location | A place where the program is available |
| Videos | Original, public, and at least 1 minute long |
Why you might not be eligible with 10k followers
- You have a business account. The US and EEA terms both rule out Business Accounts. The US terms also rule out organization accounts and accounts of governments, politicians and political parties.
- Your region is not covered. The program only runs where it is available. Check what the app shows you in Creator tools.
- Your account is not in good standing. TikTok can suspend or end your place in the program for breaking its terms or policies. If you are removed for cause, the US terms say you cannot re-apply and lose unpaid rewards.
- Some of your followers or views do not count. The US terms say followers and views must be authentic. Paid, incentivized or artificial metrics are excluded.
- You are under 18. Your age on the account matters.
Which views actually earn
Getting in is one step. Earning is another. Under the EEA terms:
- A qualified view is one where someone watches for five seconds or more.
- Repeat views from the same account count once.
- Your own views, artificial views and views the viewer marked "not interested" do not count.
- A video must reach at least 1,000 qualified views to earn.
- Duets, Stitches and Photo Mode posts do not earn.
In every version, videos under 1 minute earn nothing from the program. TikTok's announcement says rewards depend on originality, play duration, search value and audience engagement.
What to do next
- Check your account type. If it is a business account, it does not qualify.
- Look at your last 30 days of views, not your all-time total.
- Open Creator tools in the app to see if the program is offered where you are.
- Check for guideline warnings or violations on your account.
- Post original videos of at least 1 minute.
