What we did: We tested on an Ultra plan. Test 1: we pasted a two-sentence Artemis script and asked for a 9:16 Short with AI voiceover and captions. Test 2: we uploaded a 60-second public-domain NASA clip (two astronauts on the space station, 1280x720) and asked for a 9:16 Short with word-by-word captions and the original speech. We kept the default export settings (MP4, Standard, 30 fps, 1080p), checked each file's resolution, frame rate and length with a video inspection tool, transcribed the narration, and checked the captions against a hand-checked transcript.

Full verdict: CutBay is quick to use for a script-to-Short job: we answered a few multiple-choice questions and had a captioned 1080x1920 video in under 7 minutes for 18 credits. Check the narration against your script, because it added a line of its own. The uploaded clip took a second try before the export had sound and captions; after that, every caption word was right.
