Questions
How do I make a video file smaller without losing much quality?
Lower the resolution first (1080p or 720p is plenty for phones), then pick a target size. The tool works out the bitrate for you. Halving the file size usually looks almost the same on a phone screen.
Does this compressor add a watermark or upload my video?
No watermark and no upload. It runs entirely in your browser, so your video never leaves your device.
How big can the video be?
It depends on your device. Computers handle large files best. On a phone, files over about 500 MB may be slow or run out of memory.
What are the upload limits on Shorts, TikTok and Reels?
See the video file size calculator, which lists each platform's published limits with sources.
